Pumpkin Bread

Mmhmm. Tis the season of the Pumpkin, which also means it’s the season for my pumpkin bread. D loves this bread. I have to stock up on pumpkin puree at Costco. Yup, he loves it that much. I also enjoy this bread. It definitely feels like Fall when you bake it. Our entire apartment fills with warmth and spice. Absolutely divine. Without further ado, here’s my recipe for Pumpkin Bread. I promise to add photos soon, so long as I can get a photo before D gets to it. Hah!

Pumpkin Bread
Makes 2 loaves

  • 15 oz of Pumpkin Puree
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 cups of sugar
  • 2.5 cups of flour
  • 2 tsp of baking soda
  • 1.5 tsp of salt

  • 2 tsp of cinnamon
  • 1 cup of vegetable oil or melted butter
  • 2/3 cup of water

Pumpkin Bread topping

  • 2 Tbsp of brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp of cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp of white sugar
  1. Preheat oven to 350 F degrees and grease two loaf pans.
  2. Mix eggs, water, oil/butter, & pumpkin puree.
  3. Add in sugar, salt, cinnamon, baking soda, and flour. Mix well.
  4. Pour mixture into greased loaf pans, sprinkle pumpkin bread topping, and bake for 1 hr.
  5. If the top gets too brown while baking, cover with aluminum foil.
